Bible (Scripture, Gospel, Word of God)
Bible study on God's word, the Bible.

Heb. 1:1-2

In times past, God spoke to the fathers by the prophets (Old Testament). But in these last days, He has spoken to us by His Son (New Testament).

Heb. 4:12

The word of God is living and powerful. It is sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of joints and marrow. It is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Rom. 1:16

The gospel is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes (cf. 1 Cor. 1:18).

We are called by the gospel (2 Th. 2:14). And we must be obedient to the gospel (2 Th. 1:8).

2 Tim. 3:16-17

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. It is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

God's word reveals everything we need to know to be saved and godly (2 Pet. 1:3; 2 Tim. 3:16-17).

God is not the author of confusion (1 Cor. 14:33). His word is the truth (Jn. 17:17; Ps. 119:160) in which there are no contradictions.

Jn. 16:13

The Holy Spirit guided the apostles into all truth; therefore, all truth has been revealed (cf. 2 Pet. 1:2-3).

2 Pet. 1:2-3

The gospel contains everything we need to know pertaining to life and godliness (cf. 1 Cor. 6:11; Eph. 5:26; 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Tit. 3:5; Heb. 10:22; 1 Pet. 1:21- 22).

Eph. 3:4

When we read the Bible, we can understand the apostles' knowledge.

Jude 1:3

The faith was once for all delivered to the saints.

Gal. 1:8-9

No other gospel will be delivered to man. If anyone comes with another gospel, he is accursed.

2 Jn. 1:9

Those who do not abide in the doctrine of Christ do not have God. Those who abide in the doctrine of Christ have both the Father and the Son.

2 Jn. 10

If someone comes to us and does not bring the doctrine of Christ, we are not to receive him into our house or greet him.

1 Cor. 4:6

We are not to think beyond what is written.

Deut. 4:2; Rev. 22:18- 19

We cannot add to God's word or take away from God's word (cf. Deut. 12:32; Ec. 3:14).

Matt. 24:35

Jesus' words will never pass away.

1 Pet. 1:23

The word of God lives and abides forever.

Jn. 10:35

Scripture cannot be broken.

Matt. 5:17

Christ fulfilled the Mosaic Law and the Prophets (cf. Lk. 24:44).

2 Tim. 2:15

The word of God (i.e., the word of truth) must be handled properly.

2 Pet. 3:16

The Scriptures can be twisted by untaught and unstable people to their own destruction.
