The Church: Music of the Church
Bible study on the church: music of the church.

Matt. 26:30

Jesus and the apostles sang a hymn before leaving the upper room.

Acts 16:25

Paul and Silas sang hymns in prison.

1 Cor. 14:15

We must sing with understanding.

Eph. 5:19

We are commanded to sing and make melody in our hearts.

Col. 3:16

We are commanded to sing with grace in our hearts to the Lord.

Jas. 5:13

If we are cheerful, we should sing psalms.

Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16

Christians sing with grace in their hearts to the Lord, speaking admonitions and teachings to one another, making melody in their hearts to the Lord.

The church did not use mechanical instruments in worship during the First Century. And the Lord's church does not use mechanical music today. Mechanical music in worship is not authorized in the Scriptures.
