Death
Bible study on death.

Ec. 12:7


At death, the body returns to dust and the spirit returns to God.


Heb. 9:27


It is appointed for men to die once, then to be judged. Death is required of all men.


Rom. 5:12


Death spread to all men, because all sinned.


1 Tim. 6:7


We brought nothing into this world and will carry nothing out.


2 Tim. 1:10


Jesus has abolished death. He brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.


Jas. 1:10-11


We pass away (i.e., die) as a flower of the field.

Life is like a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.

Death occurs at the time the soul leaves the body.

The body dies when the spirit is no longer in the body (cf. Jesus yielded up His spirit to die; Matt. 27:50).


Heb. 4:12

The spirit and soul are separate but closely related in the mind; hence, upon death of the mind (i.e., brain) the spirit is dead and the soul has departed (cf. Rom. 12:2; Eph. 4:23).
