Kingdom
Bible study on the kingdom.

Lk. 16:16

The kingdom of God was preached beginning with John the Baptist.

"Kingdom" means the domain of the king.


Matt. 16:28; 24:34; Mk. 9:1; Lk. 9:27


People living at the time of Christ witnessed the kingdom present on earth.


Lk. 17:20-21; Jn. 18:36; Rom. 14:17; 1 Cor. 4:20


Jesus' kingdom is a spiritual kingdom, not an earthly kingdom.


Col. 1:13


Christians are in the kingdom.


Jn. 3:5


We enter the kingdom by being born again, born of water (baptism into Christ) and Spirit (cf. Col. 1:13; 2:11-13).


Matt. 7:21


We must do God's will to enter the kingdom.


Mk. 10:14-15


We must be as a little child to enter the kingdom.


Heb. 12:22-28

The kingdom is the church (the heavenly Jerusalem).

Those who gladly receive the word thus repenting and being baptized for the remission of their sins are added to the church by the Lord (Acts 2:38, 40-41, 47). They are delivered from the power of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of Jesus Christ (Col. 1:13).

Jesus is King of His kingdom.

Jesus is King of kings and Lord of lords.
